Mrs. Dorothy Agnes Perry Williams, age 88, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10th, 2012 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. David Lyalls and Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 9th, 2012 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born in Ashe County, on Friday, April 4th, 1924 to the late Floyd Perry and Margaret Taylor. She was a member of Antioch Baptist church in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She also loved going to church at Temple Baptist Church in West Jefferson, until her health prevented her from going. In her spare time she enjoyed reading her bible, gardening, sewing, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by her husband; Robert Homer Williams; One son; Wayne Williams and wife Rosa of West Jefferson; One daughter; Sharon Salkind and husband David of Easton, Maine; Four brothers; Aubrey Perry of Lansing, JC Perry of Maryland, Billy Joe Perry of Lansing, and Woodrow Perry of Maryland; four sisters; Osie Osborne of West Jefferson, Gertie Osborne of Lansing, Roberteen Nichols of Lansing, and Nellie Lewis of Lansing; one sister-in-law; Hazel Roebuck of Aberdeen, Maryland; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
