Mr. Fritz Godfrey Anderson, age 76, of Warrensville, passed away Friday afternoon, December 19, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Brooks Cemetery in Warrensville with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2008 one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Anderson was born in Ashe County on Saturday, March 26, 1932 to the late Anders Godfrey and Frankie Faw Anderson. Out of high-school, Fritz served in the US Navy and after his return he worked as an electrician. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Anders "Andy" Anderson. He is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Garner of the home; four sisters, Carol Miller and husband Harold Dean of Jefferson, Nina Clifton of Jefferson, Eva Lynch and husband Jack of Lansing, Freda Taylor and husband Gwyn of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Wendy Nardone of the home, Elizabeth King of Georgia; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
