Mrs. Wilma Ann Cornett Parker, age 92, of Creston passed away Saturday night, May 19, 2012 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 7:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Parker was born in Avery County on Tuesday, November 11, 1919 to the late Howard Wilson and Dalie Cornett. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed cooking. She also loved dogs, especially two toy poodles "Buck" and "Angel". She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Denver Howell. Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, of 60 years of marriage, Edgar Tivis Parker; a grandson, Charles Howell of Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive.
