Dear Family,
We have gotten to know Doris at the Ashe Senior Center. She was a wonderful person, and we loved her. She sometimes came into our Bible Study that Buford teaches on Tuesday mornings. She was a welcome addition to the group. We will miss her very much. May God bless and comfort each of you during this difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Ms. Doris. I just loved that little woman. I had not seen Doris is some time. I use to see her at the Dr.s Office where I worked and then I would see her out and about here and there. She had such energy and so full of life that it seems strange for her to not still be here with us. She NEVER aged! She had such a sweet spirit and was always so good to me everythime she seen me. I hate that you are having to go through the pain and suffering of loosing a loved one today. I know that she is smiling down on you all and waiting on the day that you will come join her. She is in such a beautiful place. Our minds can not even begin to imagine what her eyes are seeing today. She is in Glory!! She is sitting with her loved ones that left before her and she is having the best time EVER!! She will be greatly missed and I pray that your hearts will be comforted by God's spirit. Look to Jesus when you are feeling sorrowful and want to be close to your mom, or Mark your Granny. She is only a prayer away and one day you will see her again and that day won't be as long as you think. God loves you and wants to give you peace. Rest yourselves in his arms today and always. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I go to know Doris through her support of Ashe Services for Aging. She was a sweet and special lady. Sue, I never connected her as your mother. I will miss her.
I am so sorry I did not come to Doris's funeral. I just found out today (Friday, June 1) that she had died. I have very early memories of being at Doris's house. I remember how kind and fun loving she was. She was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. She never forgot me and would tell me a story everytime I saw her. I will be praying for you all.
I worked with Miss Doris at Sprague Electric in the cafeteria when I was the manager. She was always so pleasant, caring and loving- a really special lady. May God comfort all her family and all who loved her.
Our family sends our deepest sympathy to your family during this time of great lost.
May the God of comfort bind your hearts and bring peace to your family.
