Mr. Ralph Gerald Bare, age 76 of Laurel Springs passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2:00pm at Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Goss & David VanHoy officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites. The Bare family will receive friends Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Bare was born in Ashe County on October 16, 1935 to Hazel Stringer Bare and the late Clarence Fields Bare. He served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Edith McNeill Bare of Laurel Springs; one son, Scott Bare and wife Shana of Creedmoor; mother, Hazel Bare of Laurel Springs; one sister, Kay Perkins and husband John of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Justin Bare and Alex Bare of Creedmoor; two nieces; four nephews.
