Mrs. Ruth Roland Tribble, age 87, of Millers Creek, formerly of Ashe County passed away Monday evening, July 30, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Critcher and Rev. Ken Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12-2 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Tribble was born in Ashe County Friday on April 17, 1925 to Walter Alexander Roland and Bertie Albina Miller Roland. Mrs. Tribble is survived by two sons, Michael Tribble and wife Magdalene of Millers Creek, Ron Tribble and wife Lois of Draper, VA; one daughter, Pat Fowler and husband Bill of Millers Creek; one brother; Frank Roland of Warrensville. Also surviving are; seven grandchildren, Brennis Tribble and wife Natalie of Wilkesboro, Keith Tribble and wife Lauren of Fincastle,VA, Julie Shinn and Husband Jason of Lansing, KS, Jonathon Tribble and wife Alison of Millers Creek, Justin Fowler of Mooresville, Lynn Jennings and husband Stephen of Amarillo, TX, Tom Fowler of Richmond, VA, seven great-grandchildren, Duncan Shinn of Lansing, KS, Griffin Shinn of Lansing, KS, Jaxson Tribble of Wilkesboro, Jeremy Tribble of Fincastle, VA, Sara Grady and husband Donny of Canyon, TX, Michael Jennings and wife Donna of Amarillo, TX, Jason Jennings of Hereford, TX, several nieces and nephews also survive.
