Mrs. Ruby Mae Segraves Weaver, age 68, of Warrensville, passed away on Monday morning, December 22, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 3pm at Warrensville United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregg Plott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Weaver was born in Ashe County on February 29, 1940 to the late Calvin Ernest Segraves and Rose Ivalee Hartzog Segraves. She worked as a Tax Lister. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Libby Weaver; a brother, Joseph Ernest Segraves and a sister-in-law, Patricia C. Segraves. She is survived by a son, William Weaver of Lansing; her mother, Rose Ivalee Hartzog Segraves of Warrensville; a brother, John Charles Segraves of Kannapolis; two sisters, Ann S. Davis and husband, Steve, of Crumpler and Jeanne Jones and husband, James of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Amanda Ariel Weaver and Benjamin Nathaniel Weaver; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
