Michelle and I were just communicating thru Facebook Friday night about her new home , turning in to old ladies at forty and trying to get together soon and catchup. Now I look forward to this time in Heaven when we meet again. I love you all so much and you were all such a big part of those rough teenage years growing up. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Michelle through our company’s business with Lowe’s. Typically a Lowe’s supplier does not make friends with customers, but one could not meet Michelle and not want her as a friend. She had such a vibrant personality, a warm heart and a great laugh. She almost always had a smile on her face even when at times most wouldn’t. She smiled the most when talking about her son Shawn. She was very proud of him and beamed when she talked about him. As a mom too we shared our stories and laughed about how different raising a son is versus having girls. I loved hearing her stories about growing up on a farm. Being a city girl, I found this all too fascinating. I shared my travel stories as she loved to travel herself and loved hearing about other places in the world. I remember when Michelle began working at Lowe's home office on 421 West as an Out Bound Survey Agent. When I first met Michelle I noticed that great big smile and that gleam in her eyes saying hey, here I am now let's get the ball rolling.
It did not take long before Michelle was working as one of my agents in Store Support and I was instantly impressed at her eagerness to learn and do the best she could do.
I knew this girl was a go getter and would be an asset to Lowe's and it's success for the future.
Michelle was very smart and was always looking and thinking out of the box to see what she could to to make things easier and better for the company. I was so excited to have someone like Michelle on my team and never one time did Michelle let me down.
I also knew it would not be long till Michelle would venture out into other areas of the comapny because she had so much to offer and before long Michelle was working in Mooresville as a Merchandising Specialist and doing an awesome job.
It did not matter when or what reason you had to call Michelle you could see that great big smile on her face ready and willing to help in any way possible.
Everyone always admired that about Michelle. Michelle touched everyone she met because she had a heart of gold and so much love and kindness to share.
I remember how she would talk about her son and how much she loved and would do whatever it would take to be the best at being a loving and supportive mom. That for sure is what Michelle was a loving, supportive, wonderful mom.
My heart goes out to Shawn because I know how difficult it can be to lose a loving mothers at such a young age as I did when eleven years old.
I also know with the grace of God and support from a loving family things will be OK.
I am not saying it will be easy but I know God will take care of you Shawn and be with you every day of your life to support and help guide you.
I am looking forward to one day seeing my mom's gleaming eyes and big smile and Shawn one day you will also again see your mom with that big smile and those gleaming eyes.
Michelle will always be remembered as a loving, and thoughtful person who loved God ,family, friends and life. I will always remember Michelle and thankful to have had the provilige to hqave known her.
May Gods love and grace be with each and everyone in the family and most of all I pray God will wrap those great big loving arms around Shawn and give him comfort, peace and guide him throughout his life.

Her smile and laugh could light up the room and cheer anyone up if they were having a bad day. I hadn't seen Michelle in several years. It's still hard to believe that she is gone. I knew Michelle only for a short time. I met her this year in the early spring. She was such a delightful person with a beautiful smile. Her son was with her . I could tell she was such a good mom and was so proud of her son. When I saw the obituary in the Statesville paper this morning , I was in tears because I don't understand how such a wonderful person like her could have died so young. My prayers are with her son and her family.

I can't believe Michelle is gone. She was always full of laughs. She was a good friend. I haven't seen her in probably 18 years. I regret that. I will have our memories. I just found out that this was my Michelle that this happened to. I am so very sorry for your loss. I taught her for several subjects at Ashe Central. We were very close back then. I was truly shocked to hear of Michelle's passing as were all of her friends. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Michelle. She was not only one of my office assistants at Ashe Central but a dear friend. Although I have not seen her since she graduated I just knew she would go far and enjoy life to the fullest. Michelle gave me a little card with a Teddy Bear hugging a stuffed Rabbit and her note said, "Here is your well deserved hug". Always greeting everyone with a big smile and a very friendly hug or hello. May God give you comfort in the days, weeks, months and years knowing that she was a very respected young lady and she will never be forgotten.
