Mrs. Kathleen Sue Houck Gentry, age 86, of Todd died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Valley Healthcare Center. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Cemetery with Rev. Owen Peeler officiating. Mrs. Gentry was born in Ashe County on January 30, 1926 to the late Gurna and Flora Gentry Houck. Mrs. Gentry is survived by one son; Allen Gentry and wife Becky of Abingdon, VA; one daughter; Kaye Green and husband Thomas of Wytheville, VA; two sisters; Mary Nell Marsh of Mooresville and Johnnie Webb of Ellerbe, NC; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
