Obituary of Laura Virginia Coldiron
Mrs. Laura Virginia Coldiron, age 79, of Butler, Tennessee, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11:00am at Sugar Tree Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Sugar Tree Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coldiron was born in Ashe County November 18, 1932 to the late Harrison Phillips and Claude Farmer Phillips. When living in Ashe County she attended Sugar Tree Baptist Church and attended Beach Mountain Baptist Church in Butler. She loved to crochet and also loved to garden.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands; Evert Lewis and Denver Coldiron; four brothers; Bud, Ted, Charlie, and Harold Phillips.
Mrs. Coldiron is survived by two sons; Jerry Lewis and wife Rita of Lansing, and Larry Lewis of Crumpler; two daughters; Linda Osborne and husband Robert of West Jefferson, and Nellie Storey and husband of Butler, TN; two brothers; Larry Phillips of Lansing, and Ellis Phillips of Maryland; four sisters; Maye Greer of Lansing, Ruby Ham of Lansing, Shirley Bauguess of Lansing, and Jane Farmer of Grassy Creek; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be meeting at the home place of Jerry Lewis, 11700 Hwy 194 North, Lansing, NC 28643.
