Dear Evazella and Family, I was very saddened to hear that James had passed, no one could have ever had a better brother- in-law he was always very special to all of our family. I have a lot of good memories of James when we were young and when he was coming to our house to date Betty. He was always so kind and respectful to our parents and all of us children. He was a very genuine and honest person with high morals and dignity. He loved his work, his hometown, and most of all his family. I never ever heard him have a bad word to say about anyone. He was certainly one of a kind, I will miss him very much as I'm sure all of you will. I am glad that his suffering is finally over, I know that he is in a much better place now. I pray that God will give you all peace and comfort during this difficult time. May God Bless You and keep you, our prayers go out for you. I know he and Betty would have loved to see the grandchildren grow up. Love to you all. Johnny Noblett and Famiy.

Dear James Jr, Jennifer, Jason and Joy,
So sad to hear of your Daddy's passing. Your Mama and Daddy are together again in the Lord's presence. We did enjoy them so much. Their strongest wish is that you all stay close and be there for one another until you are reunited. We are always here if you need us.
Much love,
Mary Ellen and Eddie

My prayers go out to James' family. I worked for James at RJR Tobacco many years ago as his secretary, and he taught me many things. He always talked so fondly of his wife and children and how he missed them until he could go back home each weekend. He taught me that my work "product" had my name on it so I should keep that in mind. When he encouraged me to go to college while working full time, he gave me longer "breaks" when I had exams coming up that evening. Overall, one of the best men I have ever met. He was always there to give wise advice. I haven't seen him in many years, but always hoped I would run into him one day and be able to tell him the impact he had on my life.

JP- no regrets. You did all you could for your Dad and loved him until the end. If he was not able to recognize that on earth due to his failing health, he certainly knows it now. I am praying for peace for you. I count it an honor to know you.

It is with great sadness that I write this memory. I didn't personally know Mr. Parsons, however I worked with his son, JP for many years. I know this is a difficult time for the family but hope they will all remember that Mr. Parsons is now with Mrs. Parsons and that should provide some small level of comfort. May peace be with all of you.

Dear James Jr and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember James from elementary and high school. I had such a "crush" on him in 8th grade, but I don't think he ever knew. Now that he and Betty are together again, I'm sure they would want you all to remember the good times. May God guide you through this difficult time.
