Lavaughn Osborne Jr., better known as "Junior" age 75, of Creston passed away Tuesday morning at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shepherd and Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday December 15, 2012 prior to the funeral at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Osborne was born in Ashe County on January 28, 1936 to the late Lavaughn Graybeal and Zelphia Osborne. He enjoyed gardening and loved to watch Nascar races. He was loved by many and had a great heart for all. He is survived by two sons, Mitchell Osborne of Creston; Randy Osborne of Creston; two daughters Janet Nolan and husband Jim of London, Ontario, Canada, Teresa Wood and Husband Terry of Creston; a brother, Mickey Osborne and wife Brenda of Melbourne, Florida; five granddaughters, Kara Nolan of London, Ontario, Canada, Raina Osborne of Creston, Ashley Solano of Creston, Courtney Wood of Creston, Kristy Wood of Creston; a great-grandson, Noah Solano of Creston. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Farmer and his mother, Zelphia Osborne. Flowers are accepted.
