Mr. William Hartwell Wilkinson, better known as "Bill" age 69, of West Jefferson died Tuesday night, December 18, 2012 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Memorial service will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Burl Greer officiating. Mr. Wilkinson was born in Charlotte, NC on May 12, 1943 to the late Richard Stanley and Evelyn Hirst Wilkinson. He was retired from operating Northwestern Piping Supply in Lenoir. He is survived by his wife, Karen Patterson Wilkinson; one son; Richard "Ric" Thomas Wilkinson and fiance Tiffany Presnell of Boone; one daughter; Allison Rebecca Wilkinson of Raleigh; one brother; Richard Stanley "Stan" Wilkinson of West Jefferson; several cousins and family members also survive; and survived by his special companion Sophie, his cocker spaniel.
