Mrs. Virginia Louise Thomas Cochrane age, 91 of West Jefferson passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Ashe Assisted Living & Memory Care in West Jefferson. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte with Rev. Russell Hart officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home in West Jefferson. Mrs. Cochrane was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1921 in Union County, North Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thomas. She was a Homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cochrane; two brothers, Boyce Thomas, and William Thomas Mrs. Cochrane is survived by a son, Joe Cochrane and wife Cindy of Jefferson; a daughter, Gina Sharp and husband Ronnie of Garner; two brothers, Herman Thomas and wife Jeannie of Charlotte, Louis Thomas and wife Christine of Concord; three grandchildren, Patrick Cochrane of Jefferson, Wendy Brown and husband Jody of Todd, Jonathan Cochrane and wife Donna of Clemmons; five great-grandchildren, Shelby Cochrane of Jefferson, Philip Cochrane of Jefferson, Salem Brown of Todd, Tatum Brown of Todd, Reagan Cochrane of Clemmons; two step grandchildren, Kristin Dodds and Austin Dodds; several nieces and nephews.
