Mr. Fred Wilson Elliott, age 77, of Creston, the Rich Hill Community, died Friday afternoon, January 9, 2009 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Greer, Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Reeves Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00pm on Sunday, prior to the funeral service. Mr. Elliott was born in Ashe County on July 1, 1931 to the late Newton Elliott and Lela Mullis Elliott. He worked as a Carpenter. He was also preceded in death by a brother Lee Allen Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Ham Elliott; a brother, Dean Elliott and wife, Lorene, of Warrensville; a sister-in-law, Linda Elliott, of West Jefferson; three nieces; one nephew; three great nieces and one great nephew also survive. Food and flowers accepted. The family will be meeting at the home place 2433 Rich Hill Road in Creston.
