Mr. Don Bradley Goodman, better known as "Bradley" age 92, of Taylorsville, formerly of Ashe County passed away Monday morning, January 14, 2013 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the West Jefferson City Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Friday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Goodman was born in Ashe County on September 10, 1920 to the late Dick Mills and Mamie Ray Williams Goodman. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He ran "The Pawn Shop" in Taylorsville for many years. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clyde Morton Goodman on December 26, 2005; four children, John, James Allen, Carolyn and Timothy. Mr. Goodman is survived by two sons, Leonard "Bud" Goodman and wife, Nelda, of Rutherford College, NC and Ben Goodman and partner, Randy Warrum, of Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Lynda Davis and husband, Tony, of Taylorsville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
