Mr. Arthur Edward Bliss, Jr. better known as "Eddie" age 72, of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday afternoon, January 20, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Howell-Hill Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm on Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Bliss was born in Beckley, West Virginia on Saturday, March 30, 1940 to the late Arthur Edward Bliss, Sr. and Olga O. Bliss Roberts. He served in the United State Marine Corp. during Vietnam. He retired from Greyhound Bus, where he worked as an accountant. He owned and operated a Gun & Archery Store in Winston-Salem. In his spare time, Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Jones Bliss; two daughters, JoAnn Bliss Sanders and husband, Jeff, of Vail, Arizona and Peggy Bliss Reed and husband, Brian, of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Talia Sanders, of Vail, AZ, Airman First Class Tyler Sanders, of Abilene, TX, Alysha Greenough, of Tucson, AZ, Jamie Ollis, of Millers Creek and Avery Thompson, of Millers Creek; a great grandson, Jeremiah Hills, of Tucson, AZ also survive.
