Stokes Medley, age 79, of Lansing died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Stokes Medley was born in Ashe county to the late Pine and Gertrude Oliver Medley on November 8, 1933. He is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Medley; two sisters, Opal Medley and Bernice Northrop. Mr. Medley is survived by a daughter, Phyllis M. Powers and Husband Barry of Lansing; a grandson, Tony Plitt and wife Rebecca of Lansing; two great-grandchildren, Troy and Rachel Plitt of Lansing.
