Mr. Willet Earl McGuire, better known as "Earl" age 80, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Galvin Jones, Rev. Dennis Blevins, Rev. Carroll Flannery and Pastor Doug Hardin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013 one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. McGuire was born in Watauga County on July 16, 1932 to the late Vance and Mae Woodring McGuire. He was a Timber Cutter. He is survived by his wife, Lorean Hicks McGuire; three sons, Junior McGuire of North Wilkesboro, Greg McGuire, of West Jefferson and Wayne McGuire, of Harmony; three daughters, Billie Sue Main, of Jefferson; Ruby Hicks Billings, of Jefferson and Sherry Trejo, of Crumpler; a brother, Frank McGuire, of Todd; a sister, Edna Canter, of Todd; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
