Kathryn Sue Garner, age 55, of Warrensville died Saturday morning, February 16, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Goss officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Garner was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, December 4, 1957 to the late Fritz Godfrey and Shirley Temple Anderson. She worked as a custodian in public school system. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Sapp and husband, James, of Kannapolis and Wendy Nardone, of Warrensville; six grandchildren Dillion Nardone, Clayton Nardone and Ivy Nardone, all of Warrensville and Brian King, Aspen King and Justin Sapp, all of Kannapolis; two aunts, Helen Robinson and husband, Joe, of Warrensville and Bessie Cornett, of West Jefferson; a uncle, Fred Brooks, of Warrensville; a special friend and caregiver, Mary Eastridge, of Warrensville; several cousins also survives.
