Mr. Thomas Eugene Wilcox, age 64, of 932 Laurel Knob Road, Todd, NC, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2009 at Watauga Medical Ceneter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Denny, Rev. J.D. Walton and Rev. Andy Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilcox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Wilcox was born May 20, 1944 in Ashe County. He was the son of Mrs. Cora Wilcox Winebarger of Boone. He is survived by his step-father, Burl Winebarger of Boone. Mr. Wilcox is also survived by his wife, Marlene Wilcox of the home; one son, Jerry Wilcox and wife Pam of Todd; two daughters, Tammy Wilson and husband Gary of Todd, Rebecca Treadway and husband Terry of Todd; one sister, Sarah Doty of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Gerald Huff of Boone; nine grandchildren; one niece; three nephews.
