I have very fond memories of Tammy. We were classmates all through elementary and high school. Whether I remember her long blonde hair in a ponytail or pigtails, she always had that beautiful smile upon her face. It's so hard to believe that she is gone. It is still hard for me to believe that this is happening. Tammy had such fight in her and so much life that it seems unfair that she would have to leave us now. She NEVER complained about her sickness and ALWAYS had such a positive attitude. She was so inspiring and uplifting to me and everyone she knew. Every time I talked to her, she always mentioned something that one of you had said or done. Her family was the joy and sparkle we always seen in her eyes and that beautiful smile. I know that she would have stayed for all of you if she could have. She loved you SOOOO MUCH!!!! I thank God today for my sister in Christ. God has many promises in his word. He even came into that hospital on March 4th to put a smile on Tammy's face to show us all that she was at peace and very happy at what she was seeing as she went to be with him. What a day that day will be when we get to see her again and to see what she is seeing!! I am looking forward to that reunion. I will miss her as will all who knew her. There will be an empty place in this world but God will fill it with peace and wonderful memories. Our family is here for you. I was acquainted with Tammy through my grandson Landrum's soccer games. He and Alec played on the same team for several years. I didn't know her well, but I do remember that she was ALWAYS there at EVERY game to cheer her son and his teammates on, win or lose. We went to school together many years and college for a short time at Wilkes community. I can still remember how sweet, friendly, warm, kind and talkative that she was with everybody. She always had a laugh, a smile and a hug to share. She was a very beautiful young lady in every way and her life was such a wonderful blessing to people. I will miss her so much. Be encouraged to know that Tammy is in heaven with Jesus Christ. I was one of the nurses who met Tammy when she was first diagnosed. I followed her through chemo, surgery, and radiation. She had such a wonderful attitude. Some people will stay with you forever and Tammy is oe of thse for me. She was always so excited to head back home to West Jefferson and her family. God bless you all.

Lord Tammy. Girl I don't even think you had any idea just how much you meant to so many people. My heart has been breaking for you since I found out your diagnosis. It broke into last night. I know that you would be the first one to offer comfort to someone else. We all could use that now. We are going to be lost without you, but you wouldn't want us to wallow in self pity when you were the one fighting the battle. You are irreplacable little girl. I feel fortunate to have had you in my life. I feel even more fortunate that you were my friend. There have been so many memories with us laughing like crazy, all the times at practices, at games, school trips, meeting of the mornings after we dropped the kids off just to chit chat and giggle.
