Mrs. Belle Hartsog Roten, age 88, of Creston passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2008 at Margate Health & Rehab Center in Jefferson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Graybeal and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the Roten-Graybeal Cemetery in Warrensville. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Roten was born in Ashe County on Sunday, March 28, 1920 to the late Commodore Hartsog and Bertha Shepherd Hartsog. She was a Homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Roten on March 3, 2007. She is survived by three sons, Joe Roten and wife, Sandy, of Creston, Jim Roten and wife, Lib, of Creston and George Roten and wife, Ronda, of Warrensville; two daughters, Mary Nell McCoy and husband, Larry, of Warrensville and Francis Woods and husband, JC, of Creston; six grandchildren, Mike McCoy, Evelyn Shoemake, Angie Colvard, Richard Woods, David Roten and Paige Roten; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
