Mr. Carl Dvaughn Rash, age 80, of Todd passed away Monday morning, March 25, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Mash, Rev. Rhonda Rash and Rev. Bluford Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Rash Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Thursday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Rash was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, November 1, 1932 to the late James Edward and Mae Lewis Rash. After 32 years of work, he retired from Phoenix Chair Mfg. Company. He was a member of Three Top Baptist Church. Carl has a good sense of humor and was always encouraging to his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Bula Taylor Rash; four sons, Tony Rash and wife, Reba, of Todd, Doug Rash, of West Jefferson, Randall Rash and wife, Valerie, of Zionville and Terry Rash, of Todd; two daughters, Debbie Miller and husband, Mike, of Creston and Roxanne Rash Hawk and husband, Terry, of Fleetwood; a sister , Ruby Taylor and husband, Wiley, of Bel Air, Maryland; eleven grandchildren, Anthony Rash, Eric Miller, Mark Miller, Brandon Rash and fiance, Mandy, Kevin Mash, Rev. Mitchell Mash and wife, Tiffany, Josh Rash, Amber Rash, Chris Taylor and wife, Alisa, Dwayen Taylor and wife, Allie and Brittany Taylor; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe Miller, Makayla Miller, Dane Miller, Andrew Mash, Madison Grace Mash, Haley Taylor and Emily Taylor; several nieces and nephews also survive.
