Mrs. Rhumel Wiles Templeton, age 81, of West Jefferson, passed away Wednesday evening, March 27, 2013 at NC Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Elder John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Templeton was born in Rowan County on September 17, 1931 to the late John Henry and Bertha Hartsoe Wiles. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kyle W. Templeton. Mrs. Templeton is survived by her husband, Roy Lorraine Templeton; a son, Philip K. Templeton and wife, Suzanne, of Raleigh; a daughter , Kim M. Templeton and special friend, Dennis Pardue, of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Amber Noelle Sheets and husband, Jason, Ashley Nicole Sheets, Jessica Alaine Mikeal and husband, Austin, John Henry Templeton, Gabriella Macala Templeton and Max Keenan Templeton and wife, Suzanne; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Sheets, Emma Sheets and Hudson Mikeal; a daughter-in-law, Merilee Templeton, of Byron, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
