Mrs. Janell Severt Robertson, age 76, of Millers Creek, NC, formerly of Ashe County passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 4:00pm at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013 one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Robertson was born in Sandstone, West Virginia on Wednesday, December 2, 1936 to the late Jesse Abner and Grace Mae Walls Severt. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church She is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann Osborne and husband, Rick, of Millers Creek; two brothers, Jack Severt and wife, Bettie, of West Jefferson and Morris Ray Severt and wife, Virginia, of Beaverton, Michigan; six sisters, Danis Jones of Rising Sun, MD, Jessie Absher of Laurel Springs,NC, Betty Ball and husband, Joe, of West Jefferson, Leafie McNeill, of West Jefferson, Linda Kay Brooks and husband, Dean, of Hillsboro, NC and Marsha Teaster of Grassy Creek; two grandchildren, Tracy Carter, of Orlando, FL and Rikki Ann Osborne, of Millers Creek; four great-grandchildren, Reid Gamble, Bella Pearl Dice, Ricky Harris and Elijah Harris; several nieces and nephews also survive.
