Mrs. Lynn Poe Winters, age 49, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday night, May 19, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Minister Tim Canup officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Winters was born in Ashe County to the late Glenn Sanders and Ilene Dorotha Turner Poe. She graduated from Ashe Central high School in 1982. She was the Service Clerk for Ashe County Ford. She was a member of West Jefferson Church of Christ. Lynn was an active supporter of the Ashe County Honor Guard. She had a very caring heart and would always help anyone in need. She was a loving wife and mother. She will be missed by all! Mrs. Winters is survived by her husband, Tim Winters, of West Jefferson; a son, Matthew Winters, of West Jefferson; a brother, Robert Poe and wife, Debbie, of West Jefferson; a loving companion, her dog, Angel; several nieces and nephews also survive.
