Pearl Roupe Bare of Jefferson, NC passed away June 12, 2013 at the age of 102. She was born May 15, 1911 in Ashe County, NC to L.D. and Sarah Jones Roupe. Mrs. Bare was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude Bare, a son, Robert Dean, a brother, Lida Roupe, a sister, Stella, and a son-in-law, Eddie Taylor. Pearl was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, to quilt and to garden. She loved her flowers, especially her roses. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a good Christian mother. Mrs. Bare is survived by Two sons ,Jimmy Bare and wife, Mary, of Jefferson and Jackie Bare and wife, Linda, of Jefferson; One daughter; Gladys Taylor, of Jefferson ; One grandson; Jamie and wife Jill of Boone; Four granddaughters; Robin Lindley and husband John, of Lexington, NC, Angie Osborne and husband, Derrick, of Lansing, Delores Dement, of Jefferson, Carolyn Carson, of North Wilkesboro; three great-grandsons, Travis Lindley and Zane Lindley, both of Winston-Salem, and Christopher Carson of North Wilkesboro; one great granddaughter; Lauren Vaughan and husband, Dustin, of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews also survive.
