Helen Miller, age 88, of Glendale Springs died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living Center in West Jefferson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Glendale Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00P.M.until 2:00P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 prior to the funeral service at Boone Family Funeral Home. Helen Miller was born in Ashe County on Saturday, December 13, 1924 to the late Pearl and Mattie Elizabeth Johnson Miller. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Allen Miller; two sons, Donald Wayne Miller, Stewart Clay Miller; a daughter, Lois Ellen Miller; four brothers, Kenneth Miller, Onis Miller, Richard Miller, Banner Miller; a grandson, Stewart Allen Miller. Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Allen "Louis" Miller and wife Janet of Glendale Springs; Three grandchildren, Lisa Camp and husband Clay of Jefferson, Devron Miller of West Jefferson, Darren Miller of West Jefferson; a great-grandchild, Courtney Camp of Jefferson; several nieces; several nephews.
