Mr. James Earl Parsons, age 58, of Lansing, passed away Friday morning, June 28, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. He was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, November 3, 1954 to Warren M. Parsons and to the late Virginia grace Eldreth Parsons. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to yard sales in his sparetime. Mr. Parsons is survived by a son, Wayne Parsons and wife, Cindy, of Jefferson; his father , Warren Parsons, of Lansing; a brother , Roger Parsons and wife, Linda, of Hickory; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted.
