Mrs. Nina Lee Barker Segraves, age 89, of Grassy Creek died Wednesday night, February 11, 2009 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reeves Jones, Rev. Tommy McClure, Minister Danny Miller, Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Wayne Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00pm on Saturday at Boone Family Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Segraves was born in Ashe County on Saturday, March 8, 1919 to the late John Barker and Chessie Blevins Barker. She was a Homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edison Segraves on October 3, 2006 and several brother and sisters. Mrs. Segraves is survived by a son, Alan Segraves and wife, Janet, of Grassy Creek; a grandson, Darrell Segraves, of Jefferson; two great-granddaughters, Darbie Segraves and Darrah Segraves; several nieces and nephews also survive.
