Mr. William Joseph Calloway, better known as "Joe", age 81, of Todd died Wednesday evening, July 31, 2013 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00am at Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Ronda Rash and Rev. Bluferd Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00-11:00AM at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Calloway was born in Ashe County on Sunday, January 10, 1932 to the late William Calloway and Bertha Stansberry. Mr. Calloway is survived his wife; Edna Rash Calloway; one daughter; Peggy Calloway Jones and husband Bobby of Todd; two sisters; Ruth Lawrence and husband Kermit of West Jefferson and Susie Sidden and husband Charles of Salisbury; one grandson; Robbie Jones of Todd; one great-grandson; William Caleb Jones of Todd; one step great-granddaughter; Shanessa Chambers of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews also survive.
