Mrs. Jane Hartsoe Roark, age 64, of Warrensville passed away Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Roark was born in Ashe County on Thursday, August 25, 1949 to the late Clyce and Virgie Brooks Hartsoe. She worked at LifeStore as an office manager. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Roark; her sister; Mary Alice Robinson. Mrs. Roark is survived by two daughters; Amy Roark Bennett and husband John, of Kernersville, and Melissa Roark Harmon, of Warrensville; three brothers; Ronnie Hartsoe of Lansing, Steve Hartsoe and wife Carol of Wilkesboro, and Mike Hartsoe of Warrensville; three sisters; Dare Eldreth and husband Worth of Creston, Carol Dickson of West Jefferson, and Gail Hurley and husband Billy of West Jefferson; three grandchildren; Makayla Bennett, Tyler Harmon, and Kallie Bennett; several nieces and nephews also survive.
