Mrs. Faye Wilcox Dancy, age 90, of West Jefferson passed away Friday night, November 29, 2013 at Watauga Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dayton Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Dancy was born in Ashe County on March 24, 1923 to the late Otto and Cynthia Hart Wilcox. She worked at Glendale Parkway Trading Post for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband James Paul Dancy, and a brother; Gene E. Wilcox. She is survived by two nephews; Horace Michael Hunter and wife Libby of Charlotte and James Gary Hunter and wife Barbara of Charlotte; two sister-in-laws; May Zella Hunter of Kernersville, and Grace Miller Dancy of North Wilkesboro; one great nephew; Austin Hunter of Banner Elk.
