Ms. Lucille Hazel Vineyard, age 80, of West Jefferson, passed away Sunday morning, December 8, 2013 at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00am at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Ms. Vineyard was born in Ashe County on Monday, June 26, 1933 to the late Spencer and Elsie Bare Green. She loved to crochet and garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Vineyard is survived by one son; Lowell P. Vineyard and wife Patricia of Winston Salem; one sister; Ruby Long of Laurel Springs; one granddaughter; Stephanie Vaughn and husband Dion of Huntersville; two great-grandchildren; Dillon and Carly Vaughn of Huntersville; six nieces and nephews; Eddie Black of Jefferson, Bobby Fowler of Baltimore, MD, Penny Hall of Rutherford, NC, Bucky Long of Laurel Springs, Ricky Long of Conowingo, MD, and a special thanks to Pat Osborne of Nathans Creek for always being there for Lucille. Flowers will be accepted.
