Dr. Bradford Jesse Reynolds, Sr., better known as "Brad", age 74, of Laurel Springs passed away Thursday morning, January 9, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Hoffman officiating. Dr. Reynolds was born in Manchester, Connecticut on Tuesday, February 14, 1939 to the late Ferris E. and Ann Buntin Reynolds. Brad loved the mountains and built a cabin there in the 70's. In 1992, he retired from Central Piedmont Community College, where he was a dedicated college instructor and administrator and relocated to Ashe County. He is survived by his wife, Clara Ellis Reynolds; son, Jesse Reynolds and wife, Christy, of West Jefferson with two grandchildren, Reagan Reynolds and Rachel Reynolds; son, Keith Reynolds and wife, Sally, of McAdoo, PA with two grandchildren, Bradford Reynolds and Tabitha Reynolds; a brother, Wesley B. Reynolds, of Burlington, NC; a sister, Carol R. Glennon, of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
