Mrs. Nancy McClure, age 67, of West Jefferson, passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Holcomb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. McClure was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on Friday, January 17, 1947 to the late Reginald Ponte and Lillian. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by infant daughter; Elizabeth Coffey. She is survived by three sons; James Coffey and wife Lisa of Banner Elk, Brian Coffey and wife Megan of Jefferson, and Kelly Coffey and wife Sherry of West Jefferson; Her mother; Lillian Ponte of Hollywood, FL; three brothers; Ray Ponte of Montana, Bobby Ponte of Florida, and Jim Ponte of Florida; one sister; Karen Bailey of Delaware; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive; and her loving cat Smokey.
