Mrs. Myrtle Roberta Gentry Houck, age 98, of Todd passed away Saturday night, March 1, 2014 at Ashe Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dominick Mongiove and Rev. Tim Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 10-11am, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Houck was born Wednesday, February 2, 1916 to the late Jacob Burton and Leora Trivett Gentry. She is preceded in death by her husband Grant McKinley Houck; six brothers; Walter Gentry, Fred Gentry, Herman Gentry, Jesse Gentry, Vonley Gentry and Todd Gentry; three sisters; Viola Gentry Campbell, Flora Gentry Houck, and Carrie Gentry Greer. Mrs. Houck is survived by three sons; Rev. Fred Houck and wife Helen of Todd, Kent Houck and wife Joann of Todd, and Harold Houck and wife Marion of Todd; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great-grandchildren; two step great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
