Eileen Johnson Goodman Honeycutt, age 86, of West Jefferson, died Monday evening, March 3, 2014 at her daughter's home in Jefferson. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 7:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Blevins and Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00am at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, March 7, 2014, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Honeycutt was born in Pageton, West Virginia to the late Lesley and Maggie Weaver Johnson. She was a faithful member of Bristol Baptist Church, while she was able to attend she loved to come and witness to the Lord. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Honeycutt and a daughter, Wanda Carol Goodman. Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by three sons, Bud Goodman and wife, Nancy, of Jefferson, Rev. Carl Goodman and wife, Karen, of King, North Carolina and Michael Goodman and wife, Faith, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two daughters, Barbara Gilley, of Jefferson and Susan Richie and husband, Cullen, of Spanaway, Washington; two step sons, Darrell Honeycutt and wife, Jewell, of Albermarle, North Carolina and Scott Honeycutt, of Landis, North Carolina; a step daughter, Colette Abernathy and husband, Dorland, of Landis, North Carolina; a brother, Roger Johnson, of Rockwell, North Carolina; a sister, Ann Goodman, of West Jefferson; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will be meeting at the home of Barbara Gilley, at 297 Friendship Baptist Church Road, Jefferson, NC 28640
