Mrs. Janice Carol Seigler Wilkinson, age 66, of West Jefferson passed away Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00PM at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Shelley officiating. Mrs. Wilkinson was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on Wednesday, December 19, 1947 to the late Charles and Mary Ellen Dodge Seigler. She was a Homemaker. Janice and her husband lived in many different cities due to his work. They lived a large portion of it in Greensboro, NC; later in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago. They moved to Ashe County one year ago because they loved the area. She is survived by her husband, David Wilkinson; three daughters, Kimberly Smith of Cape Carteret, NC, Robin Newman of Fayetteville, NC and Sarah Yoho of Auburn, Alabama; a brother , Peter Seigler, of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
