Ella Mae Blevins Adams, age 70, of Lansing, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Adams was born in Ashe County on January 26, 1938 to the late Arlie Blevins and Grace Darnell Blevins. She retired from Sara Lee Knit Products. She is survived by, her husband, Joe Adams of the home; a son, Randy Lyalls and wife Pamela of Lansing; a step son, Allen Adams, of Lansing; a step daughter, Anita Ferguson and husband, Keg, of West Jefferson; three brothers Roger Blevins of Yorkland, Delaware, Gale Blevins of New Castle, Delaware and Lloyd Blevins of Toughkenamon, Delaware; three sisters, Mary Lou Wetmore of Long Island, New York, Jane Lewis of Crumpler and Betty Rector of Hockassin, Delaware; four grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several and nieces and nephews.
