Mr. Wiley Parker Eller, age 87, of Lansing, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday May 5, 2008 at Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. David Lyalls, Rev. Jerry Lingerfelt and Rev. Thomas Stuart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Eller was born in Ashe County on October 9, 1920 to the late James Franklin Eller and Madeline Lane Eller. He worked in construction. He is survived by his wife, Viola Elliott Eller, of the home; three sons, Linville Eller and wife, Karen, Jerry Eller and wife, Wanda and Terry Eller, all of Lansing; two daughters, Ruby Ham and husband, Jerry and Sandy Darnell and husband, Walter, all of Lansing; a half brother, Luke Eller, of Lansing; a half sister, Wanda Hurley and husband, Max, of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew also survive.
