Mrs. Jessie Lou Teaster Testerman, age 73, of Grassy Creek passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2008 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 am at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Reece Jones and Rev. Eddie Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday at the Boone Family Funeral Home Mrs. Testerman was born in Ashe County on Sunday, June 24, 1934 to the late Guy Welborn Teaster and Sarah Taylor Teaster. She was a Homemaker. She was a faithful member until her sickness to Fairview Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Lou Testerman; a brother, Neal Teaster; two sisters, Joyce Pasley and Geraldine Houck. She is survived by two sons, Rev. Guy Testerman and wife, Mary, of Chilhowie, VA and Robert Testerman of Crumpler; two brothers, Donnie Teaster of Galax, VA and Ronnie Teaster of Grassy Creek; two sisters, Nellie Bare of Crumpler and Marsha Teaster of Grassy Creek; two brothers-in-law, Gilmer Pasley and Rex Houck, both of Grassy Creek; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
