Mr. Thomas Lee Combs, age 61, of Jefferson, passed away Saturday morning, June 7, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7:00-9:00pm. Burial will follow in the Poe Cemetery in Jefferson. Mr. Combs was born in Ashe County on October 17, 1946 to the late Mertie and Myrtle Miller Combs. He is survived by four sons, Tony Combs and wife Helen of Jefferson, Ronnie Combs and wife Makayla of Jefferson, Tommy Allen Combs of Warrensville and Randy Lee Combs of Jefferson; one brother, Ralph Combs and wife Sagrry of Harmony, NC; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers are appreciated.
