Mamie Fay Gentry, age 76, of 147 East Lacey Street, Chester died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson. Mrs. Gentry was born May 29, 1932 in Ashe County NC the daughter of the late Walter Reece and the late Blanche (Miller) Testerman. She was employed by Borden Dairy, Chester, SC Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Eddie Lyle officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, in the Baldwin Community of Ashe County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kenzel Gentry Four Sisters surviving are Laura Wood of West Jefferson, Doris Nance of Annawalt, WV, Lilian Weissenberger of Runnemede, NJ, Alta Owens of Winnsboro, SC Surviving Nieces and Nephews are Margie Blevins and Anna Settle of Millers Creek, NC; Robert and Rose Owens of Columbia, SC; Sharon McKinney of NJ; Debbie Miller, George Nance, Linda Evans, and Shirley Reed of WV. Also surviving are Several Great Nieces and Nephews The family will gather at the Home of Mamies sister Mrs. Laura Wood at 506 Graybeal Avenue in West Jefferson.
