Mrs. Shirley Temple Brooks Anderson, age 71, of Warrensville, the Clifton Community passed away Friday morning, June 20, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Dollar and Minister Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Anderson was born in Ashe County on June 27, 1936 to the late John Henry and Lou Bernice Blackburn Brooks. She is survived by her husband, Fritz Anderson; one daughter, Kathryn Garner of the home; two brothers, James Brooks and wife, Mary Lou of West Jefferson, Fred Brooks of Warrensville; two sisters, Helen Robinson and husband, Joe of Warrensville, Bessie Cornett and husband, Bob of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Wendy Nardone and Elizabeth King; five great-grandchildren, Dillon Nardone, Clayton Nardone, Ivy Nardone, Brian King, Aspen King; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be appreciated.
