Timmy was born to this world January 21st, 1969 in Ft. Irwin, California, The morning he was born; I was at home with dad. My brothers and sisters were with a baby sitter, I should have been with them; I was being unruly so Dad had to take me back home, dad of course, should have been at the hospital with mom. While I was having breakfast, dad received a call; he picked up the phone and said I’d be happy with a pony as long as it’s healthy. At that moment I knew my little rebellion had been in vain. I had a little baby brother.
When mom got home, the second I saw Timmy, I knew I had not just a brother but a friend for life and for the past 39 years that second in January of 1969 has proven itself true every day.
I can’t recall a time that Timmy did not have a smile on his face, when I was having a bad day, a bad moment, needed a friend to pick me up, Timmy was there. I don’t believe I am alone having had the privilege to experience this effect; Timmy had an uncanny talent to make anybody’s day shine brighter. Anybody that knows Timmy knows this to be true.
On June 20, 2008, I was in disbelief and absolute denial as the news of Timmy’s passing was being delivered. When I arrived in Jonesborough, Tn., I was still in disbelief and until this morning that disbelief has stuck with me. Today, reality has set in and I now know I will never be able to have another conversation with Timmy.
The investigation into Timmy’s passing is still ongoing, my dad, brothers and their wives, sisters and their husbands, nieces and nephews have many questions, very few answers, what we do know is that we are all in agreement, until we have the answers that brought us here has been answered, we will not be at peace.
On behalf of:
Gene, our mother Alma, Silvia, myself, Cindy, James, Johnny, Rebekka, Miro, Sherry, Birt, Carrie (bless her heart), Junior, Nastasha, Sarah, Leanna, Akasha, Mira, Jana, Joshua, Kayden, Mya, Kylee, Ben, Lisa and Wanda we want to express our sincerest thanks to all that have come here today to say farewell to Timmy and we want to express our deepest gratitude for your kindness and hospitality. Timmy always loved it here; it is comforting to know that Timmy is someplace he can call home.
