Uncle Wilford was my great uncle [Aunt Alta was the sister of my grandfather, Glen Paisley]. As a boy I would travel with my grandparents to visit relatives and we would always visit the Porters . . . special memories for me. Good food, great conversations, laughter and wonderful fellowship . . . what a treasure! My father and mother, Clinton and Glenna [Paisley] Murphy would like to have attended the funeral to honor the memory of Wilford Porter, but, they were unable to do so because of my father's health problems. They wish to express their condolences to each of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joining with my parents, we are thankful for all that Wilford Porter contributed to this life and for His Lord! He was a great example in many ways. I am thankful that my life has been influenced by his excellent example.
