Mr. Clive Woodie, age 86, of Fleetwood, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 3:00pm at Gap Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Crawford and Rev. Evan Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mount Lawn Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Woodie was born in Ashe County on Saturday, November 19, 1921 to the late Mack McKinley Woodie and the late Minnie Phillips Woodie. He was a self-employed retail merchant. He is survived a daughter, Travis Hamby and husband, Carroll, of Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Vickie Moore and Tim Hamby, both of Fleetwood; three great-grandchildren, Evan Moore, Amanda Hamby and Alisha Hamby also survives.
