Mr. Dennis William Houck, age 52, of Grassy Creek passed away on Sunday night at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Roten and Rev. Galvin Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Houck was born in Ashe County on Sunday, August 14, 1955 to Millard Houck and to June Blevins Paisley. He was the Weigh Master. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lail Houck, of the home; his mother and step father, June Blevins Paisley and husband, Harold, of Grassy Creek; his father, Millard Houck, of Winston-Salem; a sister, Diane Savoda, of Grassy Creek; three nephews also survive.
